I killed the boss anyway but it was much harder and very frustrating, purely because I had so much fun tanking rooms full of elites earlier in the temple. I received curse for passing through second to last doors, which was a stat room so my whole build and its sustain concept got ruined. I had 3200 HP and I literally could not die because I had 199% increased healing effect. I have experienced very similar case where I intentionally built 2-handed build with the cursed sword that heals 10% HP with each hit (the wording is weird as it definitely does not heal 10% of my HP with each hit). It is common to have 2k+ HP in 3rd temple tier where 1% HP gained on greed kill would heal for 20HP but no-combo kills with Bloodlust give around 12HP. I honestly think Bloodlust should not disable gold gain, maybe reduce it by 50%, and HP gained at low combo levels should be higher to compensate for disabling other healing effects. However, the curse is situational and it can absolutely screw you if you get it early or when you are in need of gold to purchase upgrades. Once you have over 20x combo, it heals 100+ HP with every kill. General Curses can occur at any time in every Temple.Bloodlust can be very powerful if you can maintain your combos. The game will then let you choose which of your active Curses you wish to get rid of, except when the Final Curse is active, in which case the Final Curse will be removed automatically instead. To be relieved of a Curse, you need to defeat a Champion or Boss, or offer a Cursed Weapon to the Gods. You can get up to 4 Curses before suffering the 5th and Final Curse. The Corruption gauge fills up by opening doors, making blood offerings, or getting hit by dark attacks. Most Curses have downsides and (usually smaller) upsides, adding new rules to the temple and making the exploration more challenging. They are randomly selected among a pool of Curses detailed below. Each time the gauge is filled up to 100 (or 120 with the Will of Sich'al Blessing) passing through a door to a new room will give you a curse. An easy way to do it is to use the Reptilian Hunger blessing. With one of those equipped, you shouldnt have no issue defeating 10 different enemies before your Greed Counter empties up. A Corruption gauge at the bottom right of the screen indicate how much your character is corrupted. This will be achieved best through upgraded Weapons that enable for fast combos.
